Welcome to Live Chickens for Sale! Our goal is pretty simple. We want to be a resource for raising chickens, building chicken coops and directing people to the right places to find live chickens for sale. In a shrinking world, it is becoming easier to have live chickens and baby chicks shipped directly to your home. Depending on where you live, there are also local resources and poultry hatcheries that you might be able to access. Raising chickens has become so popular that some poultry hatcheries are closing their doors to new customers and acting as wholesale vendors to higher volume customers. We understand and are here to help you work your way through the process of finding your own live chickens for sale!
We are just getting started so our intention is to first post helpful information about chickens. We intend on being an educational resource. In that regard, we will publish valuable information on raising chickens as well as point you to other valuable resources. For example, while we intend to focus on live chickens, there are a ton of resources on building chicken coops. We will let post reviews about chicken coop resources and places to purchase chicken raising products as we find them. That allows us to focus on providing information on live chickens. DIY Chicken Coops is an all around resource for raising chickens. They are both an educational resource as well as an ecommerce website. It is our understanding that they intend to offer live chickens for sale as well which is why we are referring to them on this website. They will be an online resource for purchasing live chickens. Keep in mind that when buying chickens online, there are usually minimum purchase orders and some chickens do not survive the shipping (of course, this is not a limitation specific to DIY Chicken Coops. The truth is that some chickens do not make it to adulthood regardless of shipping which seems to be commonly known and accepted in chicken business. However, shipping does add additional risk for the baby chicks and mostly, it is about warmth. Most vendors require multiple chickens in a purchase so that the baby chicks can provide warmth to each other. It is important to note that DIY Chicken Coops offers many other products with regard to chickens. They offered chicken coops, chicken coop plans, feeders, starter kits, and several other products. In addition to the products, they have several pages of educational information. It is a nice overall resource for your chicken needs.

Green Roof Chicken Coop does not actually offer live chickens for sale. However, we know that if you are in the market for live chickens, you will need a home for them. Green Roof Chicken Coop really has a nice idea when it comes to their chicken coops. Not only is it a cool idea for a chicken coop, it is a great conceptual representation of green living. Consider for a moment the idea that you can grow food for your chickens on top of their chicken coop. The chickens will eat and fertilize the ground as they are so very good at doing (quite frequently). Then, you can turn around and use the fertilized dirt and mulch beneath the chicken coop to help support the plant life on top of the chicken coop. Now that is green living! That being said, it might be easier to simply purchase the compost for the chicken roof but it is a very interesting concept. And, of course, there is the benefit of fresh organic eggs every day!
